Description

Lucy Gonzalez is the Missouri and Arkansas Regional Coordinator for Students for Life of America Lucy GonzalezStudents for Life of America, Missouri and Arkansas Regional Coordinator Lucy Gonzalez grew up in the community of Highland, IL and graduated from St. Louis University (SLU) after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies. She attended St. Paul Catholic Grade School, and loves being a part of the St. Paul Parish community. Her passion for participating in pro-life efforts began when she attended Mater Dei Catholic High School, where she led the pro-life club. From there, she went on to spend a lot of time helping advance the pro-life cause as she served as Vice President and Social Media Coordinator for Students for Life at SLU. Through SLU SFL, she found her love for engaging in meaningful activism, prayer vigils, and counseling women outside of Planned Parenthood. This engagement did not come without challenges, as the SFL group at SLU has been victim to acts of vandalism against pro-life displays—such as their annual Cemetery of the Innocents cross display. Such adversity helped affirm Lucy’s calling to a pro-life career even more. She treasures the wisdom and guidance her regional coordinators gave her when she was in school—and now, she is excited to have the honor of passing that along to the next generation of pro-life students. Lucy currently resides in in the metro-east area and serves the Pro-Life Generation as Students for Life's Missouri-Arkansas Regional Coordinator. This work includes providing high school and college groups with the resources that they need in order to abolish abortion in our lifetime, and encouraging these students to take compassionate action in their communities after graduating as well. Luncheons 4 Life brings together life-affirming organizations --  abortion pill reversal support, pregnancy care centers, crisis maternity homes, adoption & foster care placement, abstinence ministries, reproductive loss healing providers, sidewalk advocacy organizations, clergy of all faiths -- and caring individuals seeking their own roles in pro-life ministry to end the demand for abortion. It began seven years ago in Sarasota County, Florida and now hosts ten monthly luncheon events -- eight in Florida -- plus Atlanta, GA and St. Louis, MO. There is no cost for the luncheon -- it is 100% free to all registered attendees -- there is no request for donations, and it is not a platform for political agendas. The purpose of Luncheons 4 Life is to open communication channels among participants through the grass roots, person-to-person networking process over a great meal. While there is always a life-affirming guest speaker, the best part of the program is when we "pass the mic" to anyone of the Spirit inspired audience who wishes to share their pro-life story. Please note: Seating for Luncheons 4 Life events is limited and events are often "sold out". Reservations are required and can only be made through Eventbrite.
