Eanes ISD is seeking an M&O Dispatcher! Provides a point of contact for the district to assist and resolve problems relating to Maintenance, Custodial, Warehouse and Grounds. Responsible for telephone support, department problem evaluation and distribution of work orders. Perform data entry. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High School diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Proficient typing, keyboarding and file maintenance skills Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases and do word processing Must possess the ability to maintain calm demeanor, patience and organized control of events with multiple priorities and frequent interruptions. Must have the ability to work extended periods of time on a computer. Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of basic accounting principles Experience: Three years dispatcher/customer service experience and/or experience in public education environment Major Responsibilities and Duties: Records, Reports and Correspondence Receive and process work orders and emergency requests for service. Maintain physical and computerized departmental files, including preventive maintenance data and work orders. Maintain work order status and labor reports. Develop and maintain departmental schedules. Maintain records of District Facility Asbestos reports and audits Phones Answer incoming calls, take messages and route them to appropriate staff. Update department phone messages as needed Accounting Perform routine bookkeeping tasks, including simple arithmetic operations to maintain department budget records. Data Entry Processes work orders. Input staff information in computer. Manage users in SchoolDude Work Order System Maintain weekly department agendas/minute notes/quarterly newsletter Maintain bi-yearly “De-conflict” meetings Sign in visitors/contractors using the Raptor Control system Other Welcome all callers or visitors and handle their requests or refer them to appropriate personnel. Maintain effective rapport with the general public and handle any problems or concerns in a prompt and courteous manner. May perform other duties as assigned. Maintain Confidentiality. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Equipment Used: Computers, printer/copier, Ipad, scanners, multiple system logins Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computers and phones. Under general supervision, provide security and protection for students and staff throughout the district. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Clear and valid Texas driver’s license Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to record information Ability to follow verbal and written instruction Ability to work effectively with high school students Ability to communicate effectively (verbally) Ability to use basic office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc, along with district incident reporting software. Experience: None Major Responsibilities and Duties: Student Management: Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation and parking. Resolve conflict or confrontation between students and report disturbances to principal or assistant principal. Security and Parking: Create reports in the district’s records management system. Register student vehicles and maintain accurate records of registration. Control traffic and parking on campus grounds. Work cooperatively with office personnel to inform students of problems with vehicles (i.e., improperly parked, lights on, etc.) Assist law enforcement personnel as needed. Notify police, fire department, or other appropriate authority of any situation requiring immediate attention. Give direction or act as a guide to authorized visitors. Other: Assist with security and operations at football games and other major special events as necessary. Maintain confidentiality of information. May perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Equipment Used: Two-way radio. Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Continuous walking and standing. Exposure to vehicle exhaust. Works outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather. May be subject to extreme physical acts of others (i.e., restraining students involved in altercations).
