A dialogue between professionals and participants regarding what it means to be an ally to undocu/DACA mented students/immigrants. As part of our undocu/DACAmented student-led program SCOPE (Student Community of Progressive Empowerment) at the University of Michigan, we are organizing a panel to talk about allyship in the context of immigration and undocu/DACA mented students: What is an ally? What does it mean to be one? This event would be a mix of sharing student narratives, panelists commenting on their professions and allyship, and participants brainstorming and generating ideas afterward.
