SEATTLE — The State Route 520 bridge will be closed through the weekend, allowing road crews to finish removing the old Montlake Boulevard overpass and a nearby offramp. The closure is slated to begin Friday night and will remain in place until Monday morning. Both directions of the road will be closed between Seattle and Clyde Hill from late Friday until early Monday. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, those living near the work zone — in Montlake, Madison Park, Portage Bay and Webster Point — should expect to hear noise around the clock. (Washington State Department of Transportation) Here are the closure details from WSDOT: Closed from 9 p.m. Friday (Nov. 19) until 5 a.m. Monday (Nov.22): The Montlake Boulevard on-ramps to eastbound and westbound SR 520.The Lake Washington Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound SR 520.The SR 520 westbound off-ramps to Lake Washington Boulevard and Montlake Boulevard. Closed from 10 p.m. Friday (Nov. 19) until 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 22): The Montlake Bridge between East Shelby Street and Northeast Pacific Street. The bridge's sidewalks will also be closed, with a shuttle for bicyclists and pedestrians on each side of the Montlake Cut.Eastbound SR 520 between Montlake Boulevard in Seattle to 92nd Avenue Northeast in Clyde Hill.Westbound SR 520 between 92nd Avenue Northeast in Clyde Hill and I-5 in Seattle, including the westbound on-ramp at 84th Avenue Northeast.Lake Washington Boulevard between Montlake Boulevard and East Foster Island Road in the Arboretum. According to WSDOT, both the SR 520 Trail across Lake Washington and the trail running between East Montlake Park and the Seattle Arboretum will remain open during the closure.
