Today is a prime example of why the elite progressive left promote "public education." They passed a bill in the House that raises the amount a wealthy person can write off on their federal taxes to 80,000. The SALT Deduction is the total amount a taxpayer pays in state and local taxes. Over 80 percent of the population were unaffected by the previous 10,000 dollar limit. Only those that have critical thinking skills and are proficient in math would understand this. Fortunately for the elites public education is a failure which prevents large swaths of the population from acquiring these important skills.
