ARVADA, CO — Arvada city officials have launched two public surveys to gain feedback on planning for both the New Town and Northwest sub-areas. A sub-area plan is long-range vision for a certain geographic area in the city. Northwest Sub-Area Planning Arvada officials are planning the development of the northwest city corridor, which focuses on the area east of Highway 93 to Gladiola Street, including the Indiana Street corridor between the railroad tracks on the south and the city boundary on the north. The sub-area planning team is seeking public feedback on combined commercial and community place preferences, bike and pedestrian pathways, and city entry signage placement. >> Take the New Town Sub-Area survey here. New Town Sub-Area Planning Officials are seeking feedback on the New Town Sub-Area, which includes the commercial areas along Wadsworth Boulevard and Bypass, between the G Line tracks on the north and Interstate 70 on the south. The Arvada Marketplace shopping center along 52nd Avenue is also included. The city is developing plans for corridors and areas zoned for mixed-use development, and the survey asks residents about what they would like buildings in the area to look like. >> Take the Northwest Sub-Area survey here.
