2nd Chances.Life Presents our 5th Annual Holiday Give Back Event where we provide toys, food, clothing, scholarships, and other resources. With the support of local leaders, volunteers, churches, and local groups we're excited to announce our 5th Annual Holiday Give Back Event. The event has grown tremendously over the past 5 years as we've assisted over 1,000 families in Terrell, TX. Our goal this year is to cast our net throughout Kaufman County and provide assisstance to any familiy in need this holiday season. We're greatful to have our faithful community partners: Two Women on a Mission, Jersey Dru's, City of Terrell, BMT Community Center, More With Us, Serenity Corner and the many voluteers, donors and community leaders. Every year these organizations and community leaders show up without question to ensure that our community needs are met. Scheduled events incude: Toys (All Ages), Prizes, Food, Music, Special Guest, and Scholarship Recipient announcement. Scholarships are for graduating seniors only. In order to qualify the senior must register and submit a 1500 word essay to [email protected] by December 15, 2020. (See flyer for details) This year is special as it's our 5th year but more importantly we will honor our dear brother Byron Mims. Byron life was cut short earlier this year on March 28, 2020. Byron played a huge role in the establishment of the Holiday Give Back as he provided the idea, space, food, gifts and his love for the community for the very Holiday Give Back in 2016. Byron was a shining example of 2nd Chances and community. Join us as we honor his life on this date at 3:30 pm. *Due to Covid are taking necessary steps and precautions to ensure everyone is safe during the event. We are requiring all guest wear mask. In addition, we will have volunteers taking temperatures as guest enter the venue. Lastly, we ask that family memebers enter together and practice social distancing when near other families or individuals. *Volunteers must register here at eventbrite.
