Description

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The Yuletide season starts Tuesday, Dec. 20 and to celebrate the impending holiday, the Coto Conservancy is hosting its 43rd annual Yule Log Bonfire at the Coto Valley Country Club Dec. 18 — and the Rancho Santa Margarita community is invited to participate. The tradition of burning a Yule log to welcome the Yuletide season began several centuries ago, and is believed to have Germanic pagan roots. Residents who attend the Coto Conservancy's Yule Log Bonfire can expect to join other community members as the log burning ceremony commences and the holiday music plays. Residents who would like to attend the Yule Log Bonfire are encouraged to bring their whole families and dress warmly. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Coto Valley Country Club, 23331 Vía Venado, Trabuco Canyon.
