POWAY, CA — A 34-year-old pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries Thursday when she was struck by a van in Poway. Sheriff's deputies responded at 5:43 p.m. to site of the collision, the intersection of Espola Road and Summerfield Lane, said Sgt. Dave Toner of the San Diego County Sheriffs' Department's Poway Station. The injured woman was taken to Palomar Hospital in Escondido, Toner said. The 57-year old male driver of Ford Econoline van was not injured. The Sheriff's Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was assisting in the investigation, Toner said. — City News Service
