Description

Christmas Day Mass at Christ the King, Rutland at 7:30AM Dear Friends and Parishioners: It is interesting that last year’s Christmas letter looks like any Christmas letter ever written. But now we’re in 2020, and things are different. The pandemic has raged on for months and many have lost loved ones. We are in a time of great uncertainty, which leads to anguish, anger and heartbreak. Let’s not lose sight that something beautiful will happen once again this December 25. We will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. He came to save us, and to carry us back to God. The pandemic may stop some of our normal celebrations, but it can’t stop the feast itself. Whether or not we join our families and friends for Christmas, Jesus Christ is among us. The coronavirus cannot touch that core teaching. We are a blessed people. We welcome you and your family to our Christmas Masses. Please be aware of the following policies set forth by the Diocese of Burlington: The obligation to attend Mass is lifted until this pandemic is over. Our churches will only be filled at 50% capacity. All congregants over 2 years old are required to wear masks correctly throughout the entirety of Mass. You will need to sign-in when you come in the door for possible contact tracing if that is ever needed. You are asked to make a reservation ahead of time through this website or by calling the Rectory at 773-6820 or emailing [email protected]. You will receive a ticket which you will need to present the greeter at the door. There will be no entrance without a ticket. Whether we see you at Christmas Mass or not, please know of our prayers for you, that you stay healthy and that God blesses you richly. Peace, Msgr. Bernard Bourgeois and Fr. Steven Marchand
