Press release from the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce: November 18, 2021 Event aimed at bilingual and special education teachers, certified school nurses, social workers, and speech therapists.   ELGIN - School District U-46 is hosting a Job Fair on Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at its Educational Services Center in Elgin. This event is aimed specifically at bilingual and special education teachers, as well as certified school nurses, social workers, and speech therapists.    Same-day interviews will be available. Starting salaries for the jobs range from $50,000 to $70,000 (based on education and experience) and include a full benefits package and two-year mentor support program.
