All week (Nov. 15-19) the Minnesota Department of Public Safety has been promoting Winter Hazard Awareness Week. Today is the final day of the campaign and the focus is on winter driving. Topics covered include having a winter survival kit in your vehicle, calling 911 from your cellphone, the 511 traffic/road condition information system and snowplow safety.
