PIMA COUNTY, AZ — A Pima County Deputy sustained a gunshot wound Thursday afternoon and is in critical condition at a local hospital, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department. The shooting happened near the intersection of Palo Verde Road and Julian Drive, according to the department.
