Violinist wants to play again!

Hello and thanks for reading:) I am a 37F classically trained violinist (not fiddler) looking to collaborate with other local musicians, whether that be in the form of a band or recording. I have to admit I am a little out of practice, but I do have considerable experience as I started playing at an early age...many years in orchestras, and I also performed with a shoe-gaze type group in Chicago for a bit. I'd like to get more confident with improvisation but would ideally prefer to start out with an artist/s who might be able to compose lines for me to complement their sound. In terms of genre, I enjoy a gypsy style (think Devotchka, DakhaBrakha, Beats Antique) or lighter melodic metal but am open to anything really. I am an all-around music fanatic.
