neutered rat of unknown age needs new home

hi~ about 5 months ago i rescued 3 rats that were found by a friend. unfortunately one of them passed two weeks ago and the other passed today. there is now one left and he needs to go to someone with rats/or someone who is willing to get another rat. he is not socialized to people at all. he squeals and squirms when i pick him up to clean his cage and put him in his run. he will bite your fingers if you give him the opportunity(but he doesn’t bite when he’s being held as i move him, he just squirms like wild and screams sometimes). i’ve spent time sitting in the run with him to try to get him used to me and he does come close to me and will sometimes crawl on me if i lay down. but i don’t spend much time in the run with them, usually just do chores and watch them i have no idea how old he is as he was found abandoned. he has lots of energy and is overweight but refuses most exercise activities i try to offer. he seemed to be the most dominant of the three rats. i very recently got chemical castration/neutering done on him (so it’s too early to tell if it worked). if it didn’t work, i am more than willing to take him to where i got it done for them to try a second time, and if it doesn’t work after that they will do surgical neutering which i can also transport him to and pay for. all i ask is he goes somewhere where he will not be snake or bird food. if you have rats already, great. if you don’t, i will give you my cage and supplies and i can pay for you to get another rat(i prefer to adopt). he cannot live alone as rats are not supposed to. no rehoming fee but i will be screening people thoroughly to make sure wherever he goes has good intentions. i’m willing to keep him & get him a friend if i can’t find anyone but i’m honestly heartbroken over the death of his brother and sister and seeing the one that’s left is very depressing and is leading me to self deprecate about my ability to care for them. happy to send pictures and answer questions. he of course has a name but if you want to change it that’s fine. text or email please, or you may call and leave a message but i won’t pick up for a random number.
