So, yes, I got a little bit sparky. That said, I don't need a lecture from you. I ENJOY playing covers. Most of the covers we play are recent. But, yes, we play some hits from earlier. We do get paid. We, AND OUR AUDIENCES, HAVE A GREAT TIME EVERY SHOW. Here's the problem with your generation. (And, yes, it's ridiculously obvious that you're younger.) You're simply intolerant, while CLAIMING to he the most tolerant generation ever. No, you can't just live and let live. You can't just write original music, drive an electric car, and eat plants. You must lecture anyone who DOESN'T do things exactly as you do. You wish to "flood" the music market with people who are like you. And "others" should be ended. (Again, all the while claiming "othering" is not a part of who you are. That's something OTHERS do.... ironically enough.) While we're at it, do a little reading on industrial crops. Nothing destroys soil like growing your precious corn, wheat and soy. First they spray the soil to kill anything that could have lived there (including bugs and smaller wildlife). Once the crop is planted, they spray fake nutrients in the soil to help it grow. Then, to make harvesting corn and soybeans easier, they literally spray them with roundup to kill the plant BEFORE harvesting. The number of small wildlife killed by industrial food production is estimated to be in the billions each year globally. And, nutritionally speaking, plant foods today barely resemble their natural predecessors. An apple today is a genetically modified sugar bomb compared to an apple even 50 years ago. So, the next time you sit down to your self-righteous plant-based meal, remember there's a very good chance you're consuming a little bit of roundup and a dozen other chemicals with every nom nom. Grass-fed beef operations, however, are great for the soil and local ecosystem. Note that I said grass-fed. Grain-fed beef operations are the same industrial crap that produces your soy burgers. Never mind that grass-fed beef and organ meat is simply one of the most nutrient dense foods there is. Pasture-rasied chicken is actually good for soil. Of course, sticking them in huge buildings and shooting them with antibiotics is no better than your planet killing corn, wheat and soybean industrial operations. But will you keep an open mind and look into that? Nope. You already know everything. And you wish to tell ME how I should play music, eat, and drive. You haven't been on the planet long enough to have figured out ANYTHING. And yet you ready to guide us all in how we should live. By simply lecturing us about "animal products" you told me everything I needed to know about you. You're both ignorant and ridiculously easy to manipulate. You probably don't even realize that the majority of "recycling" trucks wind up taking your plastic bottles to the exact same landfills as your other garbage. But, hey, you have everything figured out. And there's nothing at all self-righteous about your willingness to tell everyone else how they should live (AGAIN, all the while claiming to be the most open-minded and tolerant generation ever.) Maybe you should go protest, or better yet hashing something. That seems effective. Who's rolling his eyes now? This guy.
