Position Summary: This Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing transportation and logistics team members by dispatching daily routes, maintaining accuracy and timeliness of deliveries. The Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor will effectively coach and develop team members to ensure that the functions of the warehouse and delivery process continuously operate safely and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Monitor and dispatch daily work assignments for truck drivers Direct and coordinate operations Measure and report the effectiveness of driver activities and performance Provide training and day-to-day job direction for truck drivers Maintains quality service by following organization standards Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods Ensuring warehouse staff and delivery driver’s work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies. Assists as necessary the loading and unloading of trucks to minimize damage to material Oversees preparation of product for shipment by verifying location; directing movement to staging area; resolving problems Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases Manage inventory receiving, restocking, and staging at 100% accuracy Communicate job expectations and coach employees; hire and transition as needed Identify areas of improvement and establish, initiate or adjust existing work procedures and practices Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices Job Requirements (Education & Experience): Minimum experience of 2-4 years warehouse traffic and logistics supervision experience Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Computer experience including Agility a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced service-oriented environment and maintain a positive demeanor Experienced in planning and organizing workflow to maximize output of personnel Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods Supervise picks-up of products by monitoring production, loading and moving product Supervise and assist loading and unloading product shipments and the storage in the warehouse. Provide training and day-to-day job direction for other branch warehouse persons and truck drivers Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data Good oral communication, employee relations and customer service skills Essential Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy awkward products repeatedly to store, removes from storage for fabrication, or load onto a truck up to 50 to 75 pounds with a helper. Must be able to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching. Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision. The candidate will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and location.
