The Community Health Education Center's mission is to inform and empower patients, families, community members and hospital staff by providing accurate health information. Visiting the CHEC can be an important step in finding health information, and wellness programs and services in our community. CHEC services are available to anyone in our community, regardless of whether they are currently a patient at Salem Hospital. Salem Health Employees: Employees are entitled to a discount on CHEC classes but you need to register by phone at 503-814-2432 (toll free 866-977-2432) to get the discount. The CHEC is open Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm. Refund Policy: By our policy, we offer refunds when notified within seven days prior to the class that you are not able to attend, with a physician’s note explaining why you were unable to attend, or if a personal emergency occurred.
