Break Free Presents "Haiti at the Border," a discussion, healing session, showcase, and open Mic. Bless family, next Friday we’re back for our November 2021 in-person installment and we’ve got another important one to chop it up about. Not to long ago there were images circulating showing slavery-like mistreatment of our Haitian brothers and sisters at the border while seeking safety in the US. This caused obvious dismay in our community and it led us to the conversation of, “what more can the Diaspora do to help?” We’ll be diving into that and more with “Haiti at the Border.” We’ll discuss the situation in Haiti, the difference in response to black immigrants, what we as part of the Diaspora will do to help, and more.
