Skill Level- Advanced
This is the third and final part of our ShopBot CNC router series. In this class students will take their knowledge from the first two parts to make a sign on the ShopBot. Students will prepare their files from the first class in V-Carve. Next, everyone will do a quick refresher on the operations of the ShopBot and review safety. Then, one by one, students will take turns cutting their signs out and shutting down the machine.
The Fabville Fabrication Laboratory is housed at Somerville High School in a newly designed Engineering classroom which offers a dynamic co-working space comprised of daytime high school classes and afterschool programs for students and adults. When you arrive at the main entrance of the school, you will be greeted by a door monitor and directed downstairs slightly to the right as you enter. At the bottom of the stairs hang a left and you will have found FabVille.
In order to ensure the safety of students and community members alike, all users must fill out a membership form before visiting FabVille. Bring your student or government-issued ID with you when visiting FabVille. Thank you
