A bowling fundraiser to raise scholarship funds for students in need. HRCAP Project Discovery is hosting a two-hour bowling event to raise funds for students who will be attending college in the Fall of 2022. Funds raised will be used to provide book scholarships to youth heading off to college. Up to 32 teams may register for the event with each team comprised of five members. So, put your team together and come out to have some fun for a good cause! The Hampton Roads Community Action Program (HRCAP) is a non-profit community action agency that has been serving residents in Southeastern Virginia for over 53 years. The agency provides services in the areas of education, employment, emergency assistance and housing that enable low-income individuals and families to escape the grip of generational poverty and find a path to self-sufficiency and prosperity. HRCAP operates 20 programs in five cities (Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk and Portsmouth) including a Veteran homelessness prevention initiative and one of the largest Head Start programs in Virginia.
