Did you know that bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death? Would like to learn how to be the help when help is needed? Be The Help Until Help Arrives! Emergencies happen anywhere and at anytime. Rescuers respond as soon as possible, but sometimes it’s too late. Your help can save the life of a loved one or friend! The Saint Rose of Lima Church is sponsoring a course, open to anyone age 11 and up. Stop-the-Bleed can help you to Be The Help. The class will be held on Thursday, December 16th from 7:00 – 9:00pm at the Holy Innocents Faith Formation Center, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, 06482. A donation of $5 per person is requested to cover the expense of the supplies. Please pre-register so we know how many people to expect and have the supplies ready. We can accept a maximum of 36 participants. COVID concerns: Everyone age 11 and older is welcome if they are healthy. Currently, unvaccinated people are required to wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose. Fully vaccinated people may wear a mask if they wish. Hand hygiene is requested as soon as you enter the building. We choose love and hope in our community of Sandy Hook!
