Spring Calving season is right around the corner! Come learn how to manage your cows and heifers nutrition and understand parturition. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Fannin County will be hosting a seminar on Preparing for Calving Season on Friday, December 10th from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at the Derrell Hall Education Center, 2505 North Center Street, Bonham, TX 75418. At this program, participants will learn how to properly care for heifers in late gestation then moving to early lactation, and how to properly manage mature cows during late gestation to early lactation. Also, participants will learn the stages of parturition. Calving kits will be discussed and on display for participants to see and understand what is needing in case assistance needs to be provided.
