Please join us to hear Daniel Alegre President & COO of Activision and Jamie O'Banion CEO of Beauty Bio tell their personal stories of how science and technology have helped shape & inspire their careers and lives. Daniel Alegre recently joined Activision Blizzard as President and Chief Operating Officer after a 16 year career at Google. Mr. Alegre has straddled the intersection between media and technology for most of his career. At Activision (home to Call of Duty, Candy Crush, World of Warcraft and Overwatch), he is overseeing the company's move into digital connection with players across the world through gaming entertainment. Before Activision, Mr. Alegre held numerous positions as President during his 16 year tenure at Google, including running Google's global and strategic partnership's function, working across all of Google's core business lines to create and foster key strategic relationships and revenue acceleration with partners around the world. He also ran Google's Asia Pacific and Japan Businesses as president based in Singapore and Tokyo where he opened the first operations in China, Southeast Asia and India. Mr. Alegre also opened and ran the company's Latin American operations. Daniel, originally from Mexico, also worked at Bertelsmann and BMG Music. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson school of public and International Affairs and the dual MBA and law degrees from Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School. Daniel spent his high school years in Canada and speaks 5 languages. He brings decades of global experience in entertainment and technology. Daniel recently moved to Dallas with his wife and 5 kids. He is excited about being involved in this community event and sharing his passion for technology and business. Jamie O'Banion is Founder and CEO of BeautyBio, a clean, clinical skincare brand sold globally at retailers such as Sephora, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Harrods. BeautyBio has received Allure’s coveted Best of Beauty award, CEW’s Best New Beauty, a Cosmopolitan Beauty Award, a Town & Country magazine award for prestige beauty and a New Beauty Award. BeautyBio also received the prestigious 2018 Product of the Year award from WWD. Highlighted by Forbes as one of four female entrepreneurs to watch, Jamie has also been featured in The New York Times, Time magazine, The Robb Report, InStyle magazine and Town & Country. She is a winner of an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award, was the recipient of the Rising Star Award from Fashion Group International and voted a Woman of Style by Modern Luxury. She is a member of the Young Entrepreneur Council, a member of BYU’s National Advisory Counsel, Young Professionals Organization and a member of the Children’s Cancer Fund Advisory Board. Jamie resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband and three children.
