American multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, producer, and singer-songwriter Jolie Holland has been on the road since the early 2000s, releasing seven of her own albums and collaborating on countless others. Her work has been described as a syncretization of American roots, with rock and experimental elements. She’s been in the studio with Booker T, Lucinda Williams, and TV On The Radio; and shared stages with Mavis Staples, St. Vincent, Elbow, and Big Thief. Her collaborators have included Hal Willner, Kronos Quartet, and Boots Riley. Lou Reed once told her, “I could have listened to you all night.” Musician and artist Stevie Weinstein-Foner offers songs of sincerity, optimism, and cosmic perspective. Where Stevie’s debut album, 2013’s Let It Be Told, offered fuzzy, lo-fi grooves, 2021’s Wondering is fully-realized, honed over years of playing and touring with partner Jolie Holland. Produced alongside veteran session musician Jared Samuel, the album trades in warm sounds, irresistible harmonies, and songs that are probably best sung around a campfire Weather will determine whether this show takes place in our backyard or inside.
