Installer Job Description Reporting to the Crew Lead and the Project Manager the Solar PV Installer is accountable for all branch solar installations. Solar PV Installers assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. Primary responsibilities to perform project installations include mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment and assembly of mounting hardware. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. May perform minor electrical work such as current checks. Work is performed on residential and commercial roof tops as well as installing ground mounted systems. Additional attic work in homes and businesses to verify structural attachment.
