Hydraulic Assistant/Technician JOB DESCRIPTION: WILLING TO TRAIN the right individual- Mechanically inclined person needed to properly evaluate and troubleshoot repair problems on various Cylinders, Pumps, Motors, Valves, including testing, troubleshooting and repair and assembly of same. ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Multi-task, and ability to handle high volumes under pressure with short lead times and meet deadlines under pressure. EXPERIENCED in or Around the Following: -Industrial, Heavy Equipment and/or Hydraulic experience preferred. - Must be able to measure in Inches and Metric and covert between the two. -Use measuring devices, Calipers, Read and understand ID/OD measurements accurately -Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stand for prolonged hours and to lift more than 25#. This job requires good physical conditioning. - Proven ability to operating various types of equipment to include : -ForkLift, -Grinding machines - Welding experience a plus.. - Manual Lathe -Hydraulic Power Unit- used to test components -Attention to detail with ability to inspect parts, assist machinist and other technicians as needed to meet the customer needs. -Ability to be Self Motivated and keep work area clean and organized, -Customer Service relations with regards to inside sales and service of hydraulic components -Assist with daily shop activities which may NOT be directly hydraulic related such as cleaning, organizing and developing and maintaining a proper working environment for all. - General Maintenance Equipment- Some building maintenance, shop improvements and inventory reorganization and upkeep also will be directed on a as needed basis - Transportation- Must have own dependable transportation and valid Drivers license. May be asked to make pick up and deliveries of customer parts and/or components using Company Vehicles.
