A fun and festive holiday event for the whole family! Join the Johnson County Historical Society on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 1:00 until 4:00pm at the Welcome Center for a special Christmas Tea featuring delectable goodies and warm holiday cheer. Tickets are only $5 each and includes one complimentary entry into the Door Prize drawing. Tickets will be available at the door. Additional entries into the Door Prize drawing, which includes a Christmas Basket filled with local favorites, are available for a $1 donation. You do not have to be present to win.Proceeds benefit the Johnson County Museum. As we enjoy fun, food and festivities, we will also be taking time to say "thank you" and "farewell" to Kelly Turner as she will be ending her time of service with the Welcome Center in December.While you're there, enjoy the Welcome Center's Annual Festival of Trees and vote for your favorite tree!Opening Day: Saturday, December 4 from 1:00-3:00pmThe Festival of Trees display will be open to the public from Monday, December 6 through Friday, December 30 from 9:00am-5:00pm.Cash awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place winners based on their total number of votes. The winners will be announced on December 22 at 2:00pm. Admission is free to the Festival of the Trees.
