Description

Presentations and Testimonials on Threats to our Religious Freedom Today. December 15th marks the 230th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights. We invite you to recognize this important day by attending an interdenominational conference of presentations, testimonials, and sharing experiences on threats to our religious freedom. Arrive early to purchase lunch by going through the cafeteria line. Our program will begin at noon. The First Amendment says, "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." Many of our earliest American settlers braved harsh conditions and uncertainty to escape tyranny against their practice of faith. Many believe we are facing similar circumstances today, especially in our communities of faith. As Americans, we have a keen sensitivity to forces that would align to dismantle our Freedoms. We've witnessed the destruction of the Church and the family unit in other nations when Marxism was allowed to march unchecked toward a one-party, centralized government. We must stand on guard to prevent the same outcomes in America. The Churches spread across our communities are pillars of strength in our land of the free. The Church family looks after its own better than any secular government. The essential role of our American government is to protect freedom of speech and religion, not to undermine it.
