This 3-day training teaches intervention techniques for use with law enforcement personnel who experience traumatic stress.
Critical Incident Stress Management Training for Law Enforcement Personnel is a 3 day intensive training designed to teach participants intervention techniques for use with law enforcement, fire department, EMS, Healthcare personnel and other victims who experience incidents that produce vivid reactions. Reactions can include the physical, emotional, mental & behavioral domains and range from mild to debilitating for the individual(s).
Kimble Richardson, M.S., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LCAC & Lindi Holt, PhD, NRP, NCEE are approved instructors with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) and between them have amassed over 60 years of experience in crisis intervention. Between them, they have done over 800 interventions in CISM and include responses during disaster situations. Both are also experienced educators who will lead you through individual, large group, and small group intervention models using various facilitation techniques. Recommended COVID 19 precautions will be observed during the training. Please plan on bringing a mask with you for use throughout the course.
The training has a combination of lecture and guided role playing activities. Each day begins at 8 am and ends promptly at 4:30 pm. Participants will receive certificates from ICISF in Assisting Individuals In Crisis & Group Crisis Intervention and also QPR training. In order to qualify for certification, participants may miss NO MORE than 30 minutes TOTAL for the entire training.
Due to the nature of this training, if sufficient registrations have not been received by October 30, 2020, the event will be cancelled and refunds processed minus the Eventbrite processing fee.
