Hello! I work for PetSmart, and someone had recently abandoned a pair of parakeets (budgerigars) in front of the store. I took them in as I have experience with parrots, but I cannot keep them long-term. They are a bonded pair. The male is green, and the female is a cobalt blue pied. They’re both very friendly, and I have been working on socializing them further in the few weeks I’ve had them. I’ve converted them from a seed diet to a pelleted one, and they are currently on Harrison’s Lifetime Fine. They already know how to step up, and they aren’t prone to biting much at all.
