Join Friends, Family, and Advocates as we honor those who have passed and celebrate those living with HIV. In addition to accessing local resources from various organizations, this year’s program includes an overview of the HIV epidemic, a panel discussion about the multiple ways HIV has impacted communities and individuals, and a presentation about advances in technology and awareness in the years to come. There will be time for Q&A. Light snacks and beverages are available.
With a focus on Frederick County and the surrounding region, the mission of the Frederick HIV/AIDS Coalition is to:
Reduce new infections by increasing the percentage of people living with HIV who know their status;
Increase access to care and improve health outcomes for people living with HIV by rapid linkage to and maintenance in medical care;
Increase the number of Ryan White clients with permanent housing;
Reduce HIV-related health disparities by improving prevention and care services for all Americans;
Improve retention and viral suppression rates for minority populations; and
Meet the social and spiritual needs of people living with AIDS plus the needs of their families and communities.
