WEYMOUTH, MA — One person has died and another was hospitalized after they were trapped in a car that veered off of Route 3 Northbound in Weymouth early Thursday morning. Troopers responded to the single-car crash just after 2 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle was in the woodline — the line of trees separating the highway from the forest — and two occupants were trapped in it, Massachusetts State Police tweeted Thursday morning. Just after 2AM Troopers responded to single-car crash, Rt 3 NB, Weymouth. Car into wood line, 2 occoupants are entrapped. One of them suffered fatal injury, the other taken to South Shore Hospital w/serious injuries. All lanes have reopened.
