Cooking Class - Parent / Child Hand Made Pasta Workshop (Tortellini and Ravioli) NOTICE: DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS DECEMBER 2, 2021. Description: Join Chef Susan with LEAN BEAN CHEF and staff at THE KITCHEN in Dothan, AL and prepare to be transported to Italy as we take a step by step hands-on approach to making fresh tortellini and ravioli with ricotta with fresh herbs. Who doesn’t love fresh pasta? Making it from scratch is not that difficult if you can grasp the correct technique. Our Chef Instructor and Junior Instructor will walk you through the process from creating the perfect hand-made pasta dough, to the myriads of fillings and the art of shaping pasta by hand. We will also discuss the types of sauces that can be used to finish the pasta and will share a meal of some of our handiwork at the end of class as we have lunch together in our GROUP COOKING CLASS. This class is for ONE Parent and ONE child per ticket, priced at $100 (per ticket that includes one parent, one child entry). Children Ages: 6 - 12 Children must be accompanied by parent or grandparent. DATE: Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 10 am - 1:00 PM Menu: Cheese Tortellini Ravioli with Ricotta and Fresh Herbs "Pasta in Brodo" (Pasta in broth) Sicilian Tomato Basil Sauce (Gluten-free and Dairy-free options available for $5.00 addon) __________________ What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about just finding a great recipe and cooking it in your kitchen but about learning technique. In our group cooking classes you'll work together with other participants in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. In this class you will: Learn fundamental skills for a lifetime of great cooking Work side-by-side with other participants to prepare each dish (unless it is a demonstration class only) Interact with classmates and the instructor for a rich learning experience Have tons of fun in a creative and entertaining environment Classes are 2 1/2 to 3 hours, unless otherwise noted above, and each participant will be able to taste every dish. Each participant will be able to taste every dish. Each class is held in our professional kitchens and led by an experienced chef instructor. You will leave having been enriched by expanding your culinary knowledge, learning new skills and having fun interacting with like-minded individuals.*Please wear closed toe shoes. No sandals.
