Salem 'Stop The Spread' Coronavirus Sites Extended Until 2022

SALEM, MA — The two Salem free state "Stop the Spread" coronavirus sites will be extended until at least March 31, 2022 — more than two years after the virus caused initial lockdowns nationwide. The PCR testing will remain at the two Salem sites at the high school and St. Peter's Church at least another three months after they were previously extended through Dec. 31. The drive-thru Salem High School site is open Mondays through Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The walk-up site at St. Peter's Church is open Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. These sites offer the PCR nasal swab test with results within one to three days. No proof of insurance or immigration status is required. Hours for these sites will be altered next week because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Salem also now has a free, walk-up Curative testing site at Riley Plaza. This is a self-administered nasal swab test with results back within 24 to 48 hours. The trailer is open Mondays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary for any of the three Salem test sites. Did you find this article useful?
