Soprano Lila Khazoum and Maestro Alexander Katsman present a program centered on songs about the beauty of hope.
The third recital of Festival Opera's season features an exciting coloratura soprano emerging on the Bay Area music scene, Lila Khazoum, accompanied by Maestro Alexander Katsman on piano. Their program, “Un raggio di speme” is centered on songs about the beauty of hope, even as it relates to loss and the longing for love.
This program features virtuoso arias by Antonio Vivaldi, Sei ariette by Vincenzo Bellini, songs of Georges Bizet, Reynaldo Hahn, Henri Duparc, and favorites from the American Songbook.
*** All are invited to a complimentary wine reception with the artists immediately following the performance. ***
Ms. Khazoum returns in summer 2021 to perform the role of Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen at Walnut Creek's Lesher Center for the Arts.
