HVAC-Mini split pump installer wanted

Jobs

West Street near 32nd Street, Oakland CA

Description

I am seeking an experienced ductless heating/cooling system installer to install a 2-zone, system in an upstairs apartment. I can provide help onsite, so I see it as a one person job in addition to me. Working on a weekend is an option. From the ground-level concrete pad where we install the outside unit, we'll take a straight shot up the exterior wall to about 20' above ground, then drill a hole through the wall and enter an interior closet. The interior walls on either side of the closet will be where we install the inside wall-mounted air handlers. Proposed equipment: Mitsubishi 18k BTUH outside unit, (1) 12k and (1) 6k inside unit (2) 30' long line sets. We can discuss equipment and I can buy everything needed beforehand after discussing what's needed with you. There's a fair amount of this work that I can do by myself (drilling holes through walls, installing the electrical circuit and breaker), but I'm just a handyman/building owner and I don't have experience with bending the line set tubing, cutting and flaring to create a size that fits neatly inside the closet, and charging the vapor and liquid lines. I'm wondering if I do some site prep before you arrive, if we might be able to bang out the installation in 6 hours or so? I'm happy to pay $1,000 for 6 hours or $1,200 if it's a full 8 hours. Is this reasonable to you? Again, I'm expecting somebody with plenty of experience installing mini splits, so let me know if I've made an incorrect assumption about the required installation time or other facets of the job. I look forward to hearing from you. The jobsite is in West Oakland on West Street @ 32nd Street. Working on a weekend is OK.
