Description

DANVERS, MA —Danvers residents near the Doty Avenue pump station are advised they may see discolored water while sewer work is ongoing over the next month. The work is scheduled to start Thursday and continue through Dec. 10. No work will be done during Thanksgiving week. Danvers Water Customers on Doty Avenue, Choate Avenue, Chevalier Avenue, Hussey Avenue, Kimball Avenue, Bradstreet Avenue, Tibbetts Avenue, Ocean Avenue and Bagley Avenue are most likely to see "rusty looking" water from their taps. The Danvers Department of Public Works said the discolored water is "completely safe and is due to sediment which has not settled out and collected in the system." While safe, it may not be pleasant. So anyone who experiences this issue should flush the lines by running all cold water taps a few minutes until the water runs clear. Did you find this article useful?
