GREENWICH, CT — A 43-year-old Greenwich woman has been charged with risking injury to a child, stemming from an incident that took place in July of this year, according to an arrest report.
Lindsey Fahey showed up to the Greenwich Police Department on Wednesday afternoon to turn herself in on a warrant from the GPD.
Fahey was arrested and processed, and was able to post 10 percent of her $10,000 bond.
"This arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred on July 27th in which the arrestee had placed a dog leash around the victim's neck for an extended period of time," the arrest report said.
Lt. Martin O'Reilly of the GPD said the victim is under the age of 15, and no further information will be released.
Fahey's lawyer, Philip Russell, said Fahey will plead not guilty.
"The Connecticut Department of Children and Families, which knows about this case, unlike the Greenwich Police Department, has already investigated her and absolved her of any liability," Russell said.
Fahey was scheduled to appear in court Thursday, the arrest report said.
