2-Year-Old Glen Burnie Shooting Probe Remains 'Very Active': FBI

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Two years after a 28-year-old Glen Burnie man was shot to death, the Anne Arundel County Police Department and FBI are still attempting to locate the suspect or suspects responsible for his death. Thursday marks the two-year anniversary of the death of Xavier John Arthur Green, who police said was shot multiple times in the 300 block of Morris Hill Avenue on Nov. 18, 2019. Law enforcement agents offered up a $20,000 reward earlier this year for information that would lead to the arrest of anyone involved in the shooting, but as of Thursday, no arrests have been made. At the time, police said that local detectives believed that because of the passage of time since Green's death that witnesses might be more inclined to speak about the event than they were in 2019. "Detectives understand relationships change and witnesses may have moved where they may be more comfortable with assisting law enforcement with this developing investigation," police said in a news release Thursday. An autopsy revealed that Green had been shot multiple times and his cause of death was determined to be a homicide, police said. On Thursday, Anne Arundel Police and the FBI said that the investigation into the two-year-old case is very active and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
