PRINCETON, NJ — A Philadelphia man was arrested and charged with possession of a loaded handgun and burglar tools on Wednesday afternoon, Princeton Police said.
On Wednesday, around 1:03 p.m. officers from Princeton Police noticed Stephen Rossiter walking in the area of McCosh Circle. He was carrying a pair of bolt cutters and walking towards the rear yard of a residence on the 100 block of McCosh Circle, police said.

Sign up to get Patch emails: patch.com/subscribe In light of recent vehicle thefts and burglaries, officers followed Rossiter and interviewed him. After a short interview he was placed under arrest and a loaded handgun was found in his possession, police said.
Rossiter, 43, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, possession of burglar tools.
He was taken to the Mercer County Correctional Center pending a court date.
Police are reminding Princeton residents to lock their homes and vehicles.
