I'm one of you. I don't like to talk to anyone, and I like to work alone at my own pace. As an older Millenial, and a Brookhaven native who lives in Brandon, I always had trouble finding good jobs, and with my undiagnosed ADHD, I had trouble keeping the good paying ones I found. But when I found this job 3.5 years ago, it became my "dream" job: turn out getting paid to listen to podcasts and audiobooks while traveling to new cities is definitely my "thing." We are looking to contract with 1-3 independent contractors. You can become a seasonal regional delivery driver for a well-run small business. Our largest client is based in the Jackson-Medgar Evers International Airport. You would be responsible for collecting deliveries and delivering them to individuals or businesses. You can make $2000 a month or more this holiday season. This is NOT food delivery or ride-sharing. Strict requirements: Be familiar with working as an independent contractor. Have your own insured, maintained, and smoke-free vehicle. Be willing to drive for several hours at a time. Our furthest destinations are New Orleans, Memphis and Birmingham (although this is not typical). You won't be able to "run home" very often. Be able to work well on your own without supervision. Be a safe, knowledgeable driver. Our deadlines are fairly lax, so we expect you to not get in a hurry and put yourself in danger. Be available to drive until New Years. Not-so-strict requirements: Having the space of a small SUV or a minivan. Be able to lift items of up to ~75 pounds into and out of your vehicle. Be willing to drive an overnight route. Be able to pass a background check. Be willing to drive Christmas and Thanksgiving. Please send a cover letter email detailing why you feel you are the ideal candidate for the role.
