EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — A Bergen County man faces charges after a search of his residence revealed a ghost gun, drugs and equipment used to manufacture homemade THC vape pens for distribution, prosecutors said. Sardar Habib faces weapons, money laundering and drug-related charges after East Rutherford Police, the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office executed a search warrant at his East Rutherford home on Nov. 12. Inside, they a 9mm "ghost gun" that was manufactured without serial numbers, a .40 caliber handgun loaded with hollow nose bullets and a large capacity magazine, prosecutors said. In addition to the firearms and ammunition, officials discovered heroin, marijuana, THC oil, equipment to manufacture THC vape pens for distribution and over $27,000 in illegal proceeds, prosecutors said. Habib was in the home at the time, and was arrested without incident. He was taken to Bergen County jail, where he now faces 15 charges ranging from weapons, ammunition and drug possession to money laundering and maintaining a controlled dangerous substance production facility.
