MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A man died after being shot multiple times in Trenton on Wednesday evening, the Mercer County Prosecutor's office said. Around 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, Trenton police received a Shot Spotter activation for the 300 block of St. Joe's Avenue. On arrival, officers found David Johnson, 39, a Trenton resident, with multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said. Johnson was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead a short time later. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
