CONCORD, NH — Another tip, another fugitive caught. On Wednesday, the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force along with the Claremont police and others were able to find and arrest Thomas Arbuckle, 39, who was featured in late September, after being wanted on two reckless conduct with a deadly weapon charges as well as conduct after an accident, resisting arrest and receiving stolen property charges. Arbuckle, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal, fled from Claremont police and nearly hit two police officers in the process. Luckily, the most recent tips panned out — they pointed to an apartment on Princeton Street in Claremont. "After conducting surveillance in this area, an individual resembling Arbuckle was seen looking outside the door at the residence," White said. Task force members entered the residence, cleared it, and called in a K-9 unit. During a search, Arbuckle was found hiding in a closet and was arrested. He was taken to Claremont police headquarters for processing and was held. "We are fortunate to have such strong partnerships with law enforcement throughout the state of New Hampshire and beyond," U.S. Marshal Nick Willard said. "As long as we have fugitives, the U.S. Marshals and their partners will find you. Surrendering is always the best option." Task force members who worked on the case included Claremont police, New Hampshire State Police troopers, and members of the Rockingham and Strafford county sheriff's departments.
