DEERFIELD, IL — A solid fall for Luke Woodson became even more memorable with Tuesday's announcement he had been selected to the Illinois High School Coaches Association's First Team for Class 6A. The Deerfield senior running back/linebacker (5-foot-11, 190 pounds) was coached by Steve Winiecki. Congratulations to Luke Woodson @LukeWoodson2 for being selected to the IHSFCA 6A all-state team! On offense, Woodson tallied 1,425 yards, 20 touchdowns and was named the Central Suburban League North Offensive MVP. He is a three-time all-conference member. On defense, Woodson registered 101 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, four sacks, three interceptions and a touchdown. Honored to be named 6A ALL STATE!
