EDINA, MN — The number of Edina schools on the Minnesota Department of Health's list of facilities with recent coronavirus outbreaks continues to grow, with six schools included Thursday. Four Edina schools were on the state's list Nov. 4. Edina Senior High and Agamim Classical Academy were added Thursday, joining Concord and Creek Valley elementary schools, South View Middle School and Our Lady of Grace Catholic School. Edina Police Tell Residents To Lock Cars Amid String Of Thefts The COVID-19 data dashboard for Edina Public Schools shows there have been 248 total coronavirus cases among students in the district this school year, as of Nov. 12. That total includes 29 new cases from Nov. 6-12, the dashboard shows. The district serves about 8,400 students. Thursday's list from the Minnesota Department of Health included 114 Hennepin County schools, 25 more than on Nov. 4. Booster Eligibility To Expand To All MN Adults This Week The number of Minnesota schools with recent coronavirus outbreaks continues to grow as the state deals with one of the worst case spikes in the U.S. There were 742 Minnesota schools on Thursday's list, 103 more than two weeks ago. A school is considered to have an outbreak when it reports five or more confirmed cases of the virus in students or staff who were in the building while infectious during the most recent two-week reporting period. 'Bachelorette' Brings Dates To Minnesota On New Episode Schools on the list may not have ongoing transmission, according to MDH officials. Schools are removed from the list after 28 days without any new cases.
