Here are the top stories in Savannah today: The Savannah Tree Foundation and local business partners planted sixty trees across several Savannah parks in an effort to limit the loss of protection and beauty that local trees offer. Just as importantly, the foundation gave away 300 trees for people to plant as they wish. (WTOC)On Thursday, Todd Rhodes took the center stage of Memorial Stadium wearing an orange t-shirt that read, "If not now, when?" The coach and founder of the 6-U football team, the Savannah Royal Lions, stood in front of Memorial Stadium on the visitor's side and opened the candlelight vigil with an impassioned speech about ending gun violence in Savannah.
