Description

The 1st Annual Fredericksburg Stampede a family friendly Cattle Drive and Rodeo with casual, outdoor steak cook out. The first ever Fredericksburg Stampede is coming in 2021! Come cheer on the cowboys, cowgirls and the cattle as they rumble by! A living parade of pure grit and two thousand pound beasts. Come see real cowboys, working horses, cattle dogs, and Texas Longhorns. This is something you don’t see every day! Celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Texas Hill Country. The Saturday cattle drive event is family friendly and open to the public. On both Friday and Saturday there are more activities for families to enjoy including live music, vendors and crafts, and food. Enjoy a round of cow pie bingo and walk through living history in the Bandera Gunfighter Shows. There will also hands-on learning activities on agriculture in the past and where our food comes from. Educational, school, and youth groups are welcome! The cattle drive, the main event of the festival, will be held Saturday at Noon. After all the cattle are wrangled up, we will have a huge steak out and bbq old west style! Folks can expect to see the cattle arrive on the grounds of the Historic Bankersmith Ghost Town, Population 0 and then be worked by some of the best horsemen around.
