Job duties -Performing household and commercial moves while keeping a good attitude and professional demeanor when working with customers or fellow employees. -Load and unload furniture and related materials onto and off trucks, ensuring that proper padding and straps/tape are used to prevent damage of customer's belongings and ANC's vehicles and equipment. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions such as: hot temperatures; wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electricals shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly stand; walk; use hands to manage or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. -The employee often must sit. -The employee must occasionally climb or balance. -The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds individually and often life and/or move up to 100+ pounds with team members in a safe manner. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception when driving or moving materials for customers or the company. -Must take constructive criticism well without escalating tension unnecessarily. Schedule -Scheduled hours will vary weekly based on the demands of the business. -30-50 hours per week -Monday through Saturday -May be on call evenings and weekends Education/Experience -6 months to 1 year experience in moving or similar field (Do not apply if you do not have experience) -Experience in performing physically demanding tasks in high stress situations, while maintaining positive interactions with customers and team members. -Ability to read and interpret documents provided in written, oral, or diagram form, such as: safety rules, operation or maintenance instructions, and produce manuals.
